There’s no such thing as an apprentice web designer. Apprenticeships are for trades like plumbing, carpentry, etc. where you start working with a “master” of the trade, then graduate on to Journeyman & then Master. These are actual titles offered by the trade association. The positions you’re talking about require college or trade school degrees. If you wanted to start at the bottom & try to work your way up (you would be responsible for your own education) you could enter the field as a data entry clerk.
