I’ve tried Geocities.

Not put together parts of a different skateboard I mean a website where i can upload my own design etc. with easy tools.

nvu.com is a good one for start but remember most of those website software who provide templates are already being used by others & uploaded to the internet ,what that mean ?
its mean you will be risking the duplicate of your site & being penalty by search engine so your website will get lost among others ,
the best way is to get a new templates that not many are having it, such as those template who sell for a limited number of people only & give you a a total control to change it like PLR templates
and make sure those Templates are css not tables cause search engine will not crawl your site if your page are made of tables not css
the best way tog et those templates is buying a new release one , i found Joel Comm templates is the newest one available It will be remove on 7th may 2008 so I left the link for your references
also Joel Comm will give you a free video tutorial for any one don’t have a website & want to build a website from css template

Like preferred most intuitive software & any other tools.

Im thinking of starting a website & need to design some sort of user login/management system. What is the best way to approach this? Ive read i can use a ms access or mysql database. I have some programming experience with access, & cgi/perl. Is it better to use php or asp? Im just looking for a starting point & can learn from there

learn html first.

I’d recommend Wordpress because it’s an easy CMS that’s doing a lot for you.
There exist a lot of great tutorials how to create your own wordpress theme.

I have recently become addicted to adobe dreamweaver (I know true designers scorn this, but hey, why not take the help). I was wondering what were the best places to host my site. I was looking at hostm.com but Ive never heard of them so I’m approaching with caution.

Most people I know aren’t quite as understanding of the concept of voluntary solitude, or involuntary, depending on your point of view.
See, every 2-3 weeks I tend to take a week off from people, not really that big of a deal financially since I make my living as a programmer, web designer, & 3D graphics tech. Not really something I deal with people a lot for, maybe a few artists to apply the skin to my models, but that’s it, but I digress. The only person who really seems to understand my dilemma is my best friend, everybody else thinks it’s a personal thing. Starting in with the whole “You’re not still mad about that thing” & “Fine, be that way”. And there really seem to be absolutely no women who can accept dating a guy who just randomly says “I need to be alone” without thinking something weird or bad.
I simply start to feel incredibly drained after a few weeks of dealing with people, but when I don’t deal with people I can’t sleep because I’m too hyper. Every 2 weeks is basically the time it takes for me to become so drained that I could sleep a day away.
No, it’s not weird. Not from my perspective. I would find it more weird to want to be around people 24/7.

I can use Yahoo! Sitebuilder fairly well, but I want something more advanced.

Hi 20, & i have an upcomingclothing line , & i would like to start my website. im very familiar with web design because i took that class in high school so i know exactly what im doing. but i need a little help. i would like my website to consult of alot of flash also. i.e drop down menus, when the mouse rollover something, things pop out. & as soon as you log into the website you would click an enter button. this is just the little stuff. do anyone know the best web design software that fits my needs?
