Web Design Beginner

I want to create a cool website that lots of people can use, but i have no idea how! does anyone know? i don’t want a site without a domain,though. help!

I’ve bought a domain & have a host (godaddy) i can do html but i can not figure out how to edit my site & get it up & running. How or where should I go to post my html to start the look of my website please?

I found a place that I can build my website, but I don’t want to have to use one of their sub domains. But they give me the option to change the name servers or something like that. I just want something to host the domain, so I can change the name servers & be able to build it on another site. Where can I do this? Please help.

so there after buying a domain in domain.com i don’t know how to get these things.

I bought my domain name through citysearch, but their website design tools suck! Is there a free service like yahoo domains or google pages that will allow me to edit/design my domain that through them?

I had a website designed by a company & paid for that design. My account with them is due I didn’t pay for the renewal & they took my site down. They are holding my domain name & the design is gone. Can they do that? Isn’t that website design mine & if so how do I get it? Can they hold my domain name? They are costing me loss of money here what do I do? I don’t want to renew with them because they are overcharging me for the domain name & the webhosting.
