Web Design Beginner

Not put together parts of a different skateboard I mean a website where i can upload my own design etc. with easy tools.

I am looking for a website that I can record thoughts about my pregnancy, monitor weight gain, record baby names, etc. I would just go buy a book but I was looking for a free way out. Any suggestions will help. Thanks!!

Yes. I’m the dummy. There is so much information out here, it’s hard to figure out the best thing. I have no programming experience, & a small amount of web design experience mainly using Dreamweaver. I’d like to start an online community, with moderators, passwords, users, etc. I’d like a private forum for just the moderators. I’d like people to be able to search the forums, & NOT have avatars, but be able to use emoticons. I would like automatic passwords emailed if someone looses them, & control of design & setup. I’d like a small area for advertising on the side if necessary. I’d like user guidelines to be automatic when someone signs up & have them be able to have instant access when they verify their email address.
I’ve read about a lot of different software, & have NO idea where to begin. I need something EASY for me to set up & manage, but still be able to have a lot of the above features & maybe more if necessary. I’d like to have an online chat area where we can have meetings nightly if we’d like to. I’d like to have a blog area too for just the administrator or moderators.
There are a lot of hosting services with Free forum setup, but I have no idea how easy any of this is. I would obviously need support in the beginning
Also, is there a way to get the whole site semi complete & test it without making it live?
I’d like suggestions from anyone on the above & what their opinions are on the easiest & best software for all this for a newbie.

The website would be to sell a service, & would need a shopping cart, drop down menus & it would need to be able to accept credit card/debit card payments. I don’t know anything about web design, so it would also need to be something fairly easy for me to do on my own, without the use of codes , etc.

I am currently in the process of ordering a large number of gadgets from china & plan to sell them online & at boot sales. I have ordered from china before & have no qualms with the importation process.
My query is, what do i need to do to ensure my business is legit. At the moment this is my brief business plan checklist type thing, in the order i aim to carry them out.
– Register business name
-Sell at boot sales, promoting my soon to be operating web site with leaflets.
– Open ebay shop & sell items on there too.
-Set up e-commerce site with a bespoke Professional web design team & purchase relevant Domains & begin to sell items on there.
My query is, if need be, where & how do i register my business for resale of items from china. I know i have to register the name of my business. And the products coming from china are patented & carry legitimate safety ISO standards. But what else do i need to do to ensure i am legally selling these products.
Any help would be appreciated.

I have a BS in Graphic Design & want to expand into Web Design. Ive read a few books & know the basics. I’m looking for an online class or anything to help me go beyond the basics & get me started in a Web Design Career.

I really want to make six or more figures online. I have a few online business ideas but I am not sure if you think any of the ideas are profitable & could make me six or more figures a year? The online business ideas are….
Idea 1. The first idea is a website where I sell office chairs. I would get the office chairs from a dropshipper & drop ship the chairs, or I would get them from a wholesale company & ship them myself. Since many home businesses are starting, more people are buying office furniture for their home business. Office furniture is a billion dollar industry. I heard of a kid named Sean Belnick who grosses 24 million dollars a year from selling office chairs online. I know there is some competition in this industry, but not too much. Do you think this online business idea could make me six or more figures a year?
Idea 2. The second online business idea is a website on songwriting. The website would contain a ton of content through articles, how-to’s, & reviews on the topic of songwriting since I have a lot of knowledge about the topic. Once I get traffic, I would ad some ads, google adsense, & relevant affiliate products on my site to monetize. Do you think this online business idea could make me six or more figures a year?
Idea 3. This idea is cool, but since there are already sites that do this, it could be challenging. The third idea is a website where users can buy, trade, & sell gift cards for money. I would make profit by charging the seller a small fee if their gift card makes a successfull sale. Do you think this online business idea could make me six or more figures a year?
Idea 4. I like this idea a lot. The last idea is a website where users who sign up for free can submit their origninal songs (that they must have rights to). Other users can listen, rate, comment, & share songs with friends. Submitted songs can be entered into the top 10 list by having the most hits & best rates. Users can also friend eachother & chat in a chat room. Say a user submits a new song, he can choose the option to have all of his friends notified about the song. So basically the site is an online community where users can listen to new music, share, comment, post original songs for feedback, & communicate with other members. The site would be free to use, but I would make money from ads. I am getting a quote from a web design firm right now, but I would probably be paying 5-10k for this site to get up & running. Do you think this online business idea could make me six or more figures a year?

For a program in school we have to find out the competition for our business. This is something like a survey. No right or wrong answer.

When I know nothing about how to do it or what is involved. How can I learn & is this a competitive industry & will I make money. How could I be successful with it?

In preparation for summer reading, I would like to create a website that would allow me to create, post, & track students as they come & take a test that I would design. I would want to limit the number of questions for the test, but have a bank of 100 questions that could be randomly chosen & given to the student to cut down on cheating.
