Web Design Beginner

Im not actually going to make one but where would you start with such a huge project?

Legally I mean. And one that’s not a scam. I want to do a lot with a website, & I also want my own url.

Not put together parts of a different skateboard I mean a website where i can upload my own design etc. with easy tools.

i have got information that it costs some crores to create a website like orkut,my space, facebook etc & i heard that google pays for that website per click , eg:if a person clicks orkut website google pays some money to orkut for opening that website is that true plz give me some details about that

I am looking for a website that I can record thoughts about my pregnancy, monitor weight gain, record baby names, etc. I would just go buy a book but I was looking for a free way out. Any suggestions will help. Thanks!!

I want to create layouts for my website but i dont really know how to do it.
Which program should I use to create it??

I am looking to create a site similar to profootballtalk.com or other sites that have blog capabilities. We are looking to report news & have people comment on those news articles & not sure how to go about creating this type of website.

I see that someone else has asked a similar question & notepad was suggested if the client knows html. Is there a way that they can edit the body text or add a link without looking at any html?

Can a web design business simply use existing free templates to create websites for paying clients?

I see all these awesome sites with layouts & I want to make one too. The thing is, I don’t have Photoshop & know baisically nothing about HTML/CCS. I would really like to know how to make a layout or find a good website with a tutorial for beginners. I would also like to know when should I use CCS & when to use HTML & what normal layouts are usually made with. Thanks.

I have some ideas for future products, like the ideas on dragons den, & without a business i will not be able to get a percentage of profit if a company buys the idea.
