Web Design Beginner

Let’s say, a html website with 10-20 pages for a small/medium sized business. No backend database/programming.

I’ve tried Geocities.

It doesn’t have to be GREAT but my site looks ghetto & I need someone to basically build my template & then I can control content

I am going to design a business website that target entire world specially USA. I do not know what color people like most?
Please tell me some good business websites that has good color theme?

nvu.com is a good one for start but remember most of those website software who provide templates are already being used by others & uploaded to the internet ,what that mean ?
its mean you will be risking the duplicate of your site & being penalty by search engine so your website will get lost among others ,
the best way is to get a new templates that not many are having it, such as those template who sell for a limited number of people only & give you a a total control to change it like PLR templates
and make sure those Templates are css not tables cause search engine will not crawl your site if your page are made of tables not css
the best way tog et those templates is buying a new release one , i found Joel Comm templates is the newest one available It will be remove on 7th may 2008 so I left the link for your references
also Joel Comm will give you a free video tutorial for any one don’t have a website & want to build a website from css template

I want to make a website where people can enter their info for Animal Crossing, & meet up for trades. Like an item exchange. Who wants to help me out?

And How much time & cost would it take to learn those softwares? Can I learn it myself?
Would Photoshop & Flash be enough for designing graphics for a website? Or should I learn other softwares too?

I have a friend who is getting ready to build a house, & even though she will hire an architect, she would like a way to be able to visualize how the design would work. So I was wondering if there exists a website where you can design the floorplan, & then apply materials to it. Thanks for any help!

The website would be to sell a service, & would need a shopping cart, drop down menus & it would need to be able to accept credit card/debit card payments. I don’t know anything about web design, so it would also need to be something fairly easy for me to do on my own, without the use of codes , etc.

I am starting a new website & want to copyright the site?
Now what does this cover exactly?….
Also, thru my research I have found that copyrighting a wesite covers the text & the designs on the site…but this confuses me…
If my designs/pictures (ex. logos/pictures) are protected under the copyright & people can’t steal that logo….why do I have to trademark that same logo/ design???

The content is already all there, just need to redesign the site to make it look more like 2007 & less like 1997. What’s a fair price to ask?
